Bright and Breezy

Bright and Breezy

On a bright and breezy day
When the sun came out to play
I dug my toes into the sand
And clutched a shell inside my hand
I watched the waves dance on the beach
And listened to the seagulls screech
Soon the crowds would fill the bay
And then I would be on my way
Back to where my love does sleep
And quietly through the house I’ll creep
Towards his bed to lay me down
Until he wakens with a frown
And then our lips will swiftly meet
A moment’s splendour oh so sweet
A blissful sigh is not suppressed
Knowing I am truly blessed

Every time I read this I love it. 🙂 It captures a time in life where there seems to be true happiness and contentment. I want to be her. 🙂
