By Terry Foote.

One step forward
Two steps back
I hear her voice
Calling me back

Do I go
Or do I stay
Will the siren’s call
Cause dismay

Play it safe
Or roll the dice
Have it plain
Or add some spice

Stay stuck
Or move about
Mute your voice
Or have a shout

At the crossroads
Which way to turn
Either way
I will always yearn

TERRY FOOTE became fascinated with poetry when his father recited a poem to him by Eugene Fields, Little Boy Blue. His poetry is straight forward yet thought provoking. Terry’s poetry has been published in Long Story Short and other ezines and print journals. Terry is a Nurse, Certified Specialist of Wine and is spiritually renewed by Nature.
