By Terry Foote.
What happened to the little boy
Who smiled so much
Never a frown
Baseball cards in bicycle spokes
Created a sound like the big folks
A change in the weather
Meant playing a different sport together
Clueless to familial influences
That would be put into place
A life long battle
That I would have to face
In my own special way
TERRY FOOTE became fascinated with poetry when his father recited a poem to him by Eugene Fields, Little Boy Blue. Terry’s poetry has been published in Long Story Short and other ezines and print journals. Terry is a nurse, Certified Specialist of Wine and is spiritually renewed by nature.
